A few months ago our friends Dan and Sarah bought a cabin up in the woods as a great weekend getaway and skiing midway point. Only one problem existed: the wood shed was a rotten piece of sh**!

Last weekend, they asked us to come up and give them a hand building out a new one. Aside from the constraints that the Forest Service imposes, the designed shed turned out pretty well. We were only able to participate on Saturday and Sunday, which means Dan is probably working like crazy over the next few days!

I’m sure just about everyone wants to join me for this demand! The funny thing is that is not that I am burned out of work or can’t take it anymore. Actually, still very motivated. I am really tired of this gloomy weather! I love the weather in the northwest, having never cared for the extreme heat, but I admit after a very long winter it is time to retreat to sunnier skies! Seriously, I could use the tan! Even willing to settle for red, and that earn me some points after I get back. Looking forward to our upcoming vacation to the tropics. To help set the mood is are favorites for the previous trip.

Okay, so after many months of neglect to my blog- I have returned! During the last few months things have been extremely busy in my life. I wish I could chalk it up something monumental like moving, surgery, or I installed Vista and could not remove it; but unfortunately it all boils down to a lot of work and a desire to enjoy my time at home.

This week and the following I will be in Minneapolis, MN for to finish an engagement with Best Buy. Minneapolis is not too bad, there are plenty of restaurants and shops to help cope with the business vistors. But there is little to do in the evenings. Yes, my hotel is within 2 blocks of the Mall of America, to which I have spent much time. So I have been taking this opportunity to catch up on miscellanous projects for work and continue experimenting with new technologies. My latest endeavor to learn all things ESX, so far so good!

Anyway, enough for now. I will promise more regular updates on my travels and thoughts as the weeks go by. The good thing is that Natalie and I are heading to Dragon*Con here is little over a week and will provide regular updates!
